Animal experiments to finish by the end of 2021.

The consortium lead by ELTE University, Budapest, is working on a drug that can help not only in treating the symptoms but also in prevention. The dean of the ELTE TTK (Faculty of Science) said that it

hinders infection by attaching itself to the spikes of the virus.

Imre Kacskovics added that clinical trials might start from the beginning of 2022.
